Excavator Jeff Dervin fires up the backhoe to demolish the back entry porch, clearing the way for the new kitchen foundation. Down in the basement, master carpenter Norm Abram and general contractor Tom Silva use a jackhammer to break through the floor, preparing to install footings for a steel support column. Meanwhile, architect David Stirling shows homeowners Bruce Leasure and Kim Whittemore a fresh master suite layout. Later, landscape contractor Roger Cook takes host Steve Thomas and Kim to a nearby vintage greenhouse for design inspiration.
