Episode Overview
Ika Musume, a squid girl enraged by ocean pollution, emerges from the sea to declare war on humanity from a beachside yakisoba stand, but her tiny frame makes her threat laughable. Mistaken for a waitress, she grapples with the reality of world domination. After punching a hole in the shop wall with her tentacles while swatting a mosquito, manager Eiko Aizawa forces her into indentured servitude to pay for the damages. Meeting Eiko’s little brother Takeru, who desperately pretends to be a squid to be her ally, comes next. On a quiet rainy day, Ika attempts a takeover, only to be effortlessly subdued by the eldest sister, Chizuru. As punishment, she’s forced to make Squid Ink Spaghetti with her own ink, which surprisingly becomes a customer favorite.
