Episode Overview

Kathy Burke's comedy draws from her own adolescent experiences in Islington, north London, featuring Ami Metcalf and Aimee-Ffion Edwards. Set in 1979, the narrative follows Kathy, who aspires to be a music journalist after being deemed too unattractive for acting. In the meantime, her best friend Mary is ecstatic about landing a date with an 18-year-old who can introduce her to concerts and the local pub scene.
