Episode Overview

In the inaugural episode, Dr. Lydgate, an eager and aspiring physician, makes his entrance into the town of Middlemarch, quickly becoming entangled in the complexities of local politics. Meanwhile, Dorothea Brooke defies her family's objections by marrying Reverend Casaubon. Additionally, Fred Vincy, the son of the mayor, finds himself in financial trouble and is forced to seek assistance from the parents of his beloved.
