Episode Overview

The Walton family discovers a young girl abandoned on their doorstep and welcomes her into their home. After a visit to the doctor, they learn that she is deaf. One evening, as the family enjoys the radio, John Boy notices Holly, the girl, running to her room in tears. Determined to help, he begins teaching her sign language, or rather, sign spelling. This newfound ability proves crucial when the youngest Walton sibling accidentally gets trapped inside a box in the Haunted House, which turns out to be Holly's actual home.
