Maria Zhang

Maria Zhang, who also goes by the name Zhang Zhiyi, is an actress of Chinese heritage born in Poland. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Suki in the 2024 Netflix adaptation of *Avatar: The Last Airbender*.

Zhang was born on August 8, 1999, in Poland, and later moved to China before eventually settling in the United States. She pursued her education at the University of Southern California, where she earned a degree in communication. Her passion for performance led her to train in acting, and she built a following on social media before landing her breakthrough role.

In 2024, Zhang made her major television debut as Suki, the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors, in *Avatar: The Last Airbender*.
